Mr Thacoor's aesthetic practice focuses on surgery of the face, breast and body, refined through years of specialist training in head and neck cancer surgery, facial reanimation, craniofacial surgery, ear reconstructive surgery and breast reconstructive surgery followed by a dedicated aesthetic surgery fellowship at the Weymouth Street Hospital in London, learning from some of the most highly-respected aesthetic surgeons in UK and the world.
His NHS practice at the UK's largest melanoma unit centres around the advanced surgical management of benign and malignant skin conditions as well as facial reconstruction following cancer or trauma.
Mr Thacoor undertook all his general and plastic surgical training in London on the prestigious Pan-Thames rotation at several centres of excellence including Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals, Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery amongst others before becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and joining the GMC Specialist Register.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Thacoor has an interest in research and teaching. He has over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals focusing on optimising surgical techniques, improving patient safety and managing complications from surgery. He was awarded the Martin Kelly Prize from the Royal Society of Medicine in 2017 for his work on cosmetic surgery tourism complications.
